Firehouse in Bunkyo-ku
serves a great hamburger.
Tokyo, Japan (March, 2006) — Tokyo is not a town noted for its American-style hamburgers. The Hard Rock Cafe, Kua'Aina, a few more spots (including the excellent (and expensive) hamburger at Four Seasons Hotel), but you may not have heard of Firehouse near Tokyo University.
Firehouse serves an excellent hamburger. Before the U.S. BSE problems, it mixed American ground beef with wagyu minchi to create a very nice hamburger and even when American ground beef went off the market, the Firehouse managed to create a great hamburger.
The website for Firehouse is here but unfortunately it is presently undergoing renewal so information is very scant on it though the initial Flash is nice.
Firehouse also accepts telephone orders for delivery in the nearby vicinity (Japanese only.) Here’s a large image of their lunch menu.
